Itinerary overview :

The 3 days tour from Fes to Marrakech will leave Fez and head towards the desert after visiting several places like the cedar forest of Azrou and Midelt. In the desert of Merzouga, we will spend the night, and Explore the oases and the Kasbahs. We will visit Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou after that. Then we will end our tour at Marrakech.

DAY 1: FEZ – IFRANE – CEDAR FOREST – MIDELT – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA DESERT

After meeting early in the morning, we’ll start our 3-day tour from Fez to Marrakech. We’ll head south from Fez. On the way, we will pay a brief visit to Ifran (called the Switzerland of Morocco) and the cedar forest near the town of Azrou, where we will meet the Barbary monkeys. Then we will have lunch in the apple city of Midelt. Then we will drive through the high road of Tizi n’Taghamt and the amazing landscapes of the valley of the Ziz. We will continue our journey passing by the town of fossils Erfoud. We will arrive in Merzouga.

After relaxing and enjoying tea, we will ride the camels towards the dunes of Erg Chebbi before sunset. After enjoying the fascinating sunset over the dunes, we will head to the desert camp where we will spend the night with drum music, traditional dinner and stargazing around the campfire.

DAT 2: MERZOUGA – ERFOUD – TODGRA GORGE – DADES VALLEY

On this day of the 3 day trip from Fez to Marrakech, we usually get up very early. We want to see the sunrise before we leave camp. We enjoy a relaxing shower and a delicious breakfast in Merzouga. Then we will go to the oasis of Tinghir, which is near the Toudra gorges. We will visit the amazing gorges of Toudra, where we will walk along the river and the narrow rock walls. We will stop for lunch at a local restaurant.
We travel to the Dades Valley, another amazing natural landscape, later in the afternoon. We will spend the night in a beautiful Kasbah in Dades. We will have a traditional dinner.

DAY 3: DADES GORGES – SKOURA – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH

After breakfast, we will drive through the Valley of Roses towards Kalaat Mgouna, a town whose culture and economy are both based on roses.

We will then continue to Ouarzazate, passing through the Skoura oasis. After a visit to the Taourirt kasbah, we will explore the studios of Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou (a huge and ancient kasbah listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site), which gave this region the name of “Morocco’s Hollywood“. In the afternoon, we will drive through the amazing high mountain landscapes of the Tizi n’Tichka road and the many Berber villages that live a very simple lifestyle before arriving in Marrakech. In the red city, we will drop you off at your accommodation and we will end our tour of Fes.
