Itinerary overview :
The tour will leave Fes and head towards Chefchaouen and then the desert after visiting several places like the cedar forest of Azrou and Midelt. In the desert of Merzouga, we will spend the night, and explore the oases and the Kasbahs. We will visit Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou after that. Then we will end our tour at Marrakech.
DAY 1: TRANSFER FROM THE AIRPORT TO YOUR HOTEL
After we meet up, we will take you from the airport to your accommodation where you will spend the day to relax and to prepare yourself for the day after.
DAY 2: FES SIGHTSEEING
This day of our Tour from Fes to Marrakech will be dedicated to exploring the spiritual capital of Morocco Fes. After breakfast, we will start our guided tour in the Medina of Fes, which is a UNESCO world heritage site. We will start by visiting the landmarks of Fes Elbali; places like the Al Qaraouine University, the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the Nejjarine Fountain, and so on. Then, we will have a traditional lunch in the Medina before we explore more of Fes like the Jewish Quarter (The Mellah). At the end of the day, we will go back to the Riad.
DAY 3: TRIP TO CHEFCHAOUEN FROM FES
We will go to travel on our Tour from Fes to Marrakech to Chefchaouen after breakfast to have a guided tour there. We will drive by the amazing adscapes of the Riff Mountains to reach the Blue city. There, we will visit the Medina and the markets along with visiting some cool streets to take memorable photos between the blue walls. After lunch at a traditional restaurant, we will visit the Market in case you want to buy some of the handicrafts that the city is famous for before we go to a hotel.
DAY 4: FES – IFRANE – AZROU – MIDELT – ZIZ VALLEY – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA DESERT
After breakfast in the early morning, we will travel south on a long journey through the diversity of Morocco’s landscapes. On our way, we will pay a quick visit to Ifran (dubbed as the Switzerland of Morocco), and the cedar forest near the town Azrou; there we will meet the Barbary monkeys. After that, we will stop at the town of apples Midelt for lunch. Then, we will drive through the high road of Tizi n’Taghamt and the amazing landscapes of Ziz Valley.
We will continue our trip passing by the town of fossils Erfoud before we arrive at Merzouga. After we relax and enjoy tea we will ride the camels before the sunset towards the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After enjoying the fascinating sunset over the dunes we will head to the desert camp, where we will spend the night enjoying drum music, traditional dinner, and stargazing around a campfire.
DAY 5: MERZOUGA – ERFOUD – TODRA GORGE – DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE
On this Tour from Fes to Marrakech, we usually wake very early this day to see the sunrise before we leave the camp. At Merzouga, we will enjoy a relaxing shower and a delicious breakfast. Then, we will go to the Oasis of Tinghir, which is near Toudra gorges before we pay a quick visit to the town of fossils Erfoud. We will visit the amazing gorges of Toudra, where we will take walks across the river and the narrow walls of rock before we stop at a local restaurant for lunch. Afterward, we will head to Dades Valley, which is an amazing place for photos. Then, we will take the road of a thousand Kasbah after driving by Kelaat Mgouna and the Valley of Roses. We will visit Skoura Oasis and finally stop at the “Hollywood of Morocco” Ouarzazate for an overnight stay at a hotel.
DAY 6: OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADDOU – ATLAS MOUNTAINS – MARRAKECH
After visiting the Kasbah of Taourirt, we will explore the studios of Ouarzazate, and we will head to Ait Ben Haddou, which is a huge and ancient Kasbah that is considered a UNESCO world heritage site and also a famous filming site that can be seen in many famous movies such as Gladiator, the Kingdom of Heaven, Jesus of Nazareth and so on. In the afternoon, we will drive through the amazing high mountain landscapes of Tizi n’Tichka Road and the many Berber villages that live a very simplistic lifestyle before we arrive at Marrakech. In the Red city, we will stay at a hotel.
DAY 7: MARRAKECH SIGHTSEEING
During this day, we will have the opportunity to explore the Red City Marrakech. There we will have a guided tour that will take us to explore the main landmarks of the city; places which have a huge historical and cultural value. The list includes Bahia Palace, the Saadien Tombs, the Koranic school of Ben Youssef along with the Medina and the Souks.
After lunch in a traditional restaurant at the famous Jamaa Lafna Square, we can go visit Koutoubia Mosque and the fascinating gardens of Majorelle that have an amazing collection of plants from all over the world. We will leave you after that to explore the city on your own in case want to. At the end of the day, we will stay at the traditional Riad where we have booked.
DAY 8: MARRAKECH TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT
We will have a free program. You can go out to explore the Red City by yourself. Then, we will end our Tour from Fes to Marrakech. We can take you to the airport after that if you’re considering leaving the country.
