Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

We will meet at the Tangier ferry or airport and transfer to the medina of the blue city of Chefchaouen. If you arrive early, we can visit Tangier, such as the medina, the cave of Hercules and Cap Sportel, where the two oceans, the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, meet. We then drive to Chefchaouen. If you arrive late, we can spend the night in Tangier and start our tour on the second day. Accommodation in a riad/hotel in the medina. Overnight in a riad in Chefchaouen on a bed and breakfast (BB) basis.

Volubilis day trip

Day 2: Chefchaouen, Volubilis, Meknès and Fes

Today we will pick you up at your riad in Chefchaouen and drive to Volubilis, passing through Wazan and other villages in the Rif. In Volubilis, you will discover the Roman ruins and learn about the archaeological sites of Moroccan history. After a visit to the ruins, you will move on to Meknes, the seventeenth-century city, where you will have lunch and visit the medina and Bab el Mansour. You will then drive to Fes, where you will spend the night. Overnight in the Medina of Fes, bed and breakfast.

Day 3: City tour of Fes with a local guide

After breakfast in your riad, you will start your discovery of Fes, the oldest city in Morocco, by walking through its alleys and narrow streets. Your visit will begin by entering through the gates of the Royal Palace and continue to the Jewish quarter, the first mellah ever built in Morocco, dating back to the 16th century. We will ensure you visit all the cultural and historical sites, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit the tile cooperative and enjoy a fantastic panoramic view over the Fès medina.

Day 4: Fes, Middle Atlas, Erg Chebbi, Desert

After breakfast in your riad/hotel, you will drive to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud through the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz gorge, which offers views of the High Atlas plateau. As you approach the town of Errachidia, where you will have lunch and enjoy Berber hospitality, you will notice how the landscape changes to reveal hints of the desert. You then travel along the lush Ziz valley, stopping for panoramic views of Erfoud and Rissani. Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon. You will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before setting off on your camel ride to spend a magical night in the desert camp with Berber music and cuisine.

Day 5: Merzouga Desert, Todra Gorges, Rose Valley, Ouarzazate

Once we have enjoyed the spectacular sunrise view, we will return to Merzouga. Upon our arrival, we will have the opportunity to refresh ourselves with a relaxing shower, followed by a delicious breakfast to give us the energy we need for the journey ahead. Our trip back to Ouarzazate will be memorable, as we will visit some of the most picturesque and authentic Berber villages. We will also have the chance to explore the stunning Todra Gorges and the breathtaking Dades Valle, both renowned for their natural beauty and unique landscapes. Finally, we will arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon, spending the night in a comfortable and welcoming hotel.

Day 6: Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou, Atlas Mountains, Marrakech.

Early in the morning, we will leave Ouarzazate and embark on a journey to explore the historic Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This magnificent kasbah dates back to the 11th century and has been featured in over 20 films, including the famous movie Gladiator. Upon arrival, we will have the opportunity to walk around and admire the intricate details of its architecture while learning about its fascinating history from our knowledgeable guide. After the tour, we will take a break for lunch before heading to Marrakech. During our journey, we will cross the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, which offers stunning views of the Atlas Mountains and the surrounding landscapes. We will also make a few stops along the way to take pictures and stretch our legs. Finally, we will reach Marrakech in the evening.

Day 7: City tour of Marrakech with a local guide

On this day, after breakfast, you will have a day tour to discover Marrakech. You will visit Marrakech’s most beautiful palaces and monuments, such as the 19th-century Bahia palace, the 16th-century Saadian tombs, the Koutoubia mosque, and the Majorelle garden. You will also visit the famous souks, where traders sell everything from leather to clothes, spices, and caftans overnight in a riad, including bed & breakfast.

Day 8: Transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight.
