Itinerary overview :

The 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech will leave Fes and head towards the desert after visiting several places like the cedar forest of Azrou and Midelt. In the desert of Merzouga, we will spend the night, and explore the oases and the Kasbahs. We will visit Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou after that. Then we will end our tour at Marrakech.

DAY 1: FEZ – IFRANE – ATLAS MOUNTAINS – MIDELT – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA ERG CHEBBI DUNES

After meeting early in the morning, we will start our 4-day tour from Fez to Marrakech. On the way, we will pay a brief visit to Ifran (called the Switzerland of Morocco) and the cedar forest near the town of Azrou, where we will meet the Barbary monkeys. We will then stop for lunch in the apple town of Midelt. Then we will drive through the high road of Tizi n’Taghamt and the amazing landscapes of the Ziz valley. We will continue our journey passing by the town of fossils Erfoud before arriving in Merzouga. We will spend the rest of the day in a chic riad in Merzouga.

DAY 2: ERG CHEBBI DUNES – KHAMLIA VILLAGE – TOUR AROUND MERZOUGA DESERT

After an early breakfast, we will set out to explore the desert region. We will drive off-road to the oases of Merzouga where the nomads live. Then, on our desert tour from Fes to Marrakech, we will go to Khamlia to learn more about the spiritual music of Gnawa for which this village is famous. Afterwards, we will return to the hotel to relax before leaving again. This time we will ride the camels to the dunes of Erg Chebbi where a camp is waiting for us. After watching the amazing sunset over the dunes, we will stop at the camp to spend the night under the fascinating night sky while listening to the beats of the drums.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA – ERFOUD – TODGRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY – SKOURA – OUARZAZATE

We usually wake up very early to see the sunrise before leaving camp. In Merzouga, we will enjoy a relaxing shower and a delicious breakfast. Then we will go to the oasis of Tinghir, which is close to the Toudra Gorges, before paying a quick visit to the fossil town of Erfoud. We will visit the amazing gorges of Toudra where we will take walks across the river and the narrow rock walls before stopping at a local restaurant for lunch. Then we will take the road of the thousand Kasbahs after passing by Kelaat Mgouna and the Valley of the Roses. We will visit the Skoura oasis and finally stop in the “Hollywood of Morocco“, Ouarzazate, for an overnight stay in a hotel.

DAY 4: OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – ATLAS MOUNTAINS – MARRAKECH

After visiting the kasbah of Taourirt, we will explore the studios of Ouarzazate and we will go to Ait Ben Haddou, a huge and ancient kasbah that is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site and also a famous filming location that can be seen in many famous films such as Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Jesus of Nazareth and so on. In the afternoon, we will drive through the amazing high mountain landscapes of the Tizi n’Tichka road and the many Berber villages that live a very simple lifestyle before arriving in Marrakech. In the red city, we will drop you off at your accommodation and we will end our 4 day tour from Fes to Marrakech.
