2 Days tour from Fes to Merzouga desert
After an early morning meeting, we will begin our 2-day desert tour from Fez to Merzouga. Our journey will take us south from Fez. On the way, we will make a brief stop at Ifran, also known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and the cedar forest near the town of Azrou, where we will meet the Barbary monkeys. We will then have lunch in the apple city of Midelt before driving through the high road of Tizi n’Taghamt and the beautiful valley landscapes of the Ziz.
Continuing our journey, we will pass by the town of fossils, Erfoud, before arriving in Merzouga. There, we will have some time to relax and enjoy tea. Just before sunset, we will ride camels to the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After watching the sunset over the dunes, we will arrive at the desert camp and spend the night. We will be treated to drum music, a traditional dinner, and stargazing around the campfire.
Today, our usual routine involves waking up early to catch the sunrise before leaving the camp. After that, we enjoyed a refreshing shower and a delicious breakfast in camp before returning to Fès. This marks the end of our services and our 2-day tour from Fès to the Merzouga desert.
