Itinerary overview :

We will pick you up from Casablanca and start our Casablanca Desert tour by driving along the coastal road to Essaouira. Later, we will explore Marrakech and continue towards the desert. After exploring the desert, we will head north towards Fez and Meknes, followed by Chefchaouen and Rabat, before concluding the 14-day tour.

DAY 1: WELCOME TO MOROCCO

When you arrive in Casablanca, our desert tour will begin after we give you a meal. Depending on your arrival time, we may visit some of Casablanca’s famous landmarks, such as the Hassan II Mosque, the Medina, and Bab El Had. We can also visit the beach area if time permits. Otherwise, we will schedule it for the following day. After the tour, we will head to the hotel.

DAY 2: CASABLANCA – EL JADIDA  ESSAOUIRA

Today, we will embark on our Casablanca Desert tour via the coastal road. Our first stop will be at El Jadida, also known as Mazagan, an ancient city built by the Portuguese. Next, we will head to Oualidia for a delicious seafood lunch. Finally, we will go to Essaouira, where we will spend the night at a lovely hotel.

DAY 3: ESSAOUIRA – SIGHTSEEING

We will wake up early today and have breakfast before starting a guided tour of Essaouira. During the tour, we will visit the fishing port and the ancient citadel of Skala Kasbah and explore the galleries and souvenir shops in and around Medina. We will stop at a nice seafood restaurant with an excellent view for lunch. Finally, we will return to the hotel for the night.

DAY 4: ESSAOUIRA – CHICHAOUA MARRAKECH

After breakfast, we will depart from Essaouira and drive across the Haouz plains. We will stop at Chichaoua village to enjoy a refreshing glass of tea along the way. After that, we will continue through the picturesque forests of argan trees and pause to capture some photos of the goats climbing them. Later, we will visit an argan cooperative to observe how the women extract the essence of these amazing seeds that can be used for cosmetic purposes. Finally, we will drive to Marrakech and spend the night at a traditional Riad.

DAY 5: MARRAKECH SIGHTSEEING GUIDED TOUR

We will have breakfast at the Riad and a guided tour of Marrakech’s famous landmarks. The itinerary includes visits to the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the Koranic School of Ben Youssef. After lunch at a traditional restaurant, we will continue the tour at Jamaa Elfna Square, where we can witness the fascinating culture of storytellers, snake charmers, and street artists. We will visit landmarks like The Majorelle Gardens, Menara, and Koutoubia Mosque. The tour will end at the Riad.

DAY 6: MARRAKECH -AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH – OUARZAZATE

Today, we are leaving Marrakech to travel to Ouarzazate. Our journey will take us through the stunning landscapes of Tizi n’Tichka road. We will take a break for lunch at the Kasbah of Telouet before continuing to Ait Ben Haddou. Both Ait ben Haddou and Ouarzazate are famous filming sites used in movies such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Jesus of Nazareth.

DAY 7: OUARZAZATE – TODGHA GORGES – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA DESERT

We will leave Ouarzazate early in the morning and visit The Kasbah of Taourirt before heading towards Merzouga. We will quickly stop at the Rose Valley and Dades Valley, followed by a lunch break at Toudra Gorges. Afterward, we will walk across the narrow canyons and reach Erfoud via Tinjdad, known for its fossils. At Merzouga, we will ride camels to Erg Chebbi Dunes, admire the sunset over a high dune, and spend the night in a desert camp with nomad musicians.

DAY 8: EXPLORING MERZOUGA ERG CHEBBI DUNES 

We will wake up early in the morning and enjoy some camel trekking. After that, we will go on a journey to explore the oases and ancient irrigation systems in the Merzouga area, which the locals still use. We will visit the nomads in their habitat and then head to Khamlia, known for its Gnawa spiritual music. After that, we will return to Merzouga for lunch and spend the rest of the day at a Riad with a band of Berber musicians.

DAY 9: MERZOUGA – ZIZ VALLEY – MIDELT – CEDAR FOREST – AZROU – IFRANE – FES

After having breakfast, we will depart from the desert and embark on our Casablanca Desert tour, traveling through the region of Tafilalt and the Atlas Mountains. We will make a brief stop for lunch in the apple town of Midelt and then head to the cedar forest near Azrou to visit the monkeys. Our next stop will be Ifran, followed by our arrival in Fez later in the afternoon. We will stay overnight at a local Riad in the Medina.

DAY 10: FES SIGHTSEEING

Today, we will dedicate our time to exploring Morocco’s spiritual capital, Fez. After breakfast, we will begin our guided tour of the Medina, visiting iconic landmarks such as the Al Qaraouine University, the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, and the Nejjarine Fountain, among others. Later, we will have a traditional lunch at the Medina before resuming our exploration of Fez. We will return to the Riad.

DAY 11: FES – MEKNES – VOLUBILIS – CHEFCHAOUEN “THE BLUE CITY”.

Today, We’ll visit Meknes and explore its prominent landmarks, including Bab Mansour and Lahdim Square. Then, we’ll head to Moulay Driss and the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Finally, we’ll pass through the Riff Mountains and Ouazzan on our way to the Blue City of Chefchaouen, where we will spend the night at a traditional Riad.

DAY 12: CHEFCHAOUEN THE BLUE CITY SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, we will embark on a guided tour of Chefchaouen, also known as the Blue Pearl of Morocco. We will drive through the stunning landscapes of the Rif Mountains en route to the Blue City. Once we arrive, we will take a leisurely stroll around the blue walls that exude a relaxing ambiance, and explore the city’s Spanish-style architecture. At the end of the day, we will spend the night at a charming traditional Riad.

DAY 13: CHEFCHAOUEN – OUEZZANE – RABAT – CASABLANCA

After having breakfast, we will drive to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, passing through Ouazzane. In Rabat, we will visit famous landmarks such as Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, and the Kasbah of Oudaya. After exploring the city, we will return to Casablanca.

DAY 14: CASABLANCA TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT

We will conclude our tour today and offer to drop you off at the airport if you are leaving the country at the end of our 14-day tour from Casablanca Imperial Cities beaches.
