Itinerary overview :

After we pick you up we leave Casablanca and drive on our Casablanca Desert tour across the coastal road to Essaouira. After that, we will explore Marrakech and then head toward the desert. After spending time exploring the desert, we will drive north to Fez and Meknes. Then, Chefchaouen and Rabat before the 14 days tour end.

DAY 1: WELCOME TO MOROCCO

Once you land in Casablanca, our Desert tour starts after we offer you a meal. Depending on the time of your arrival, we might explore some of the landmarks of Casablanca; places like Hassan II Mosque, the Medina and Bab El Had along with the beach area if we have time, otherwise, we will do the that the next day. After that, we will go to the hotel

DAY 2: CASABLANCA – EL JADIDA ESSAOUIRA

Today we will start our Casablanca Desert tour across the coastal road. We will visit El Jadida (also known as Mazagan), which is an ancient city that the Portuguese built. Then, we will visit Oualidia to taste some seafood in a delicious lunch. After that, we will head to Essaouira where we will stay for the night at a nice hotel.

DAY 3: ESSAOUIRA – SIGHTSEEING

This day we wake up and eat our breakfast, we will go on a guided tour throughout Essaouira. We will visit the fishing port, the ancient citadel of Skala Kasbah along with the galleries and souvenir shops around the Medina. We will eat lunch at a nice restaurant that serves seafood and offers a great view. And finally, we will go back to the hotel for the night

DAY 4: ESSAOUIRA – CHICHAOUA MARRAKECH

Today when we finish our breakfast, we will leave Essaouira and drive across the Haouz plains and stop at Chichaoua village for a glass of tea. Then, we will go through the forests of argan trees and stop to take pics of goats climbing them. We will pay a visit to an argan cooperative to check how the women extract the essence of these amazing seeds that can be used for cosmetic purposes. And finally, we will drive to Marrakech to spend the night there at a traditional Riad.

DAY 5: MARRAKECH SIGHTSEEING GUIDED TOUR

After breakfast at the Riad, we will go out on a guided tour through the landmarks of Marrakech. The list includes the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Koranic School of Ben Youssef… After lunch at a traditional restaurant that looks a the famous Jamaa Elfna Square, which is a place that has a fascinating culture of storytellers, snake charmers, and street artists… We will visit more amazing landmarks of the Red City afterward like The Majorelle Gardens, Menara, and Koutoubia Mosque… we will return after that to the Riad.

DAY 6: MARRAKECH -AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH – OUARZAZATE

Today we leave Marrakech, and we travel to Ouarzazate through the astonishing landscapes of Tizi n’Tichka road. We will have a lunch break at the Kasbah of Telouet. Then, we will continue our trip toward Ait Ben Haddou. Ait ben Haddou and Ouarzazate are both very famous filming sites that can be recognized from movies such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, and so on.

DAY 7: OUARZAZATE – TODGHA GORGES – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA DESERT

Early in the morning, we will leave Ouarzazate and head toward Merzouga. But before that, we will visit The Kasbah of Taourirt. Then, we will pay a quick visit to the Rose Valley and Dades Valley. Afterward, we will stay a little bit at Toudra Gorges and have lunch thereafter we enjoy taking a walk across the narrow canyons. Then, we will get to Erfoud via Tinjdad, which is situated in an area where there are a lot of fossils. At Merzouga, we will leave our car behind and ride the camels toward Erg Chebbi Dunes. After we admire the amazing sunset over a high dune, we will head to the desert camp to spend the night there with the band of nomad musicians in their tent.

DAY 8: EXPLORING MERZOUGA ERG CHEBBI DUNES

After we wake up early, we will enjoy some more time doing camel trekking. Then, we will go on a journey in the Merzouga area to explore the oases and the ancient irrigation system that the locals still use. We will pay a visit to the nomads in their habitat. Then, we will go on an exploratory trip to Khamlia, which is a town that has a culture of Gnawa spiritual music. Then, we will return to Merzouga for lunch and the rest of the day in a Riad with a band of Berber musicians.

DAY 9: MERZOUGA – ZIZ VALLEY – MIDELT – CEDAR FOREST – AZROU – IFRANE – FES

This day after we have our breakfast, we will leave the desert, and travel on our Casablanca Desert tour through the region of Tafilalt and the Atlas Mountains. After a quick lunch stop at the apple town Midelt, we will visit the Monkeys of the cedar forest near Azrou and we will stop again at Ifran. Later in the afternoon, we will arrive at Fez where we will have an overnight stay at a local Riad in the Medina.

DAY 10: FES SIGHTSEEING

This day will be dedicated to exploring the spiritual capital of Morocco Fez. After breakfast, we will start our guided tour in the Medina by visiting the landmarks; places like the Al Qaraouine University, the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the Nejjarine Fountain and so on. Then, we will have a traditional lunch at the Medina before we explore more of Fez. At the end of the day, we will go back to the Riad.

DAY 11: FES – MEKNES – VOLUBILIS – CHEFCHAOUEN “THE BLUE CITY”.

After breakfast, we will go to Meknes, which is a city that has been a great capital of the Moroccan Kingdom during the 17th century. At Meknes, we will explore the main landmarks of the Medina and the area around; places like Bab Mansour and Lahdim Square. We will leave Meknes soon after we explore it, drive towards the holy city Moulay Driss and the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Then, we will head towards the Blue City Chefchaouen, driving through the Riff Mountains and Ouazzan city. We will have an overnight stay at a traditional Riad.

DAY 12: CHEFCHAOUEN THE BLUE CITY SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, we will go on a guided tour in Chefchaouen or as many love to call it the Blue Pearl of Morocco. We will drive towards the Blue City through the amazing landscapes of the Rif Mountains. At Chefchaouen, we will enjoy walking around the blue walls that give a certain relaxing ambiance and explore the Spanish style of the city. At the end of the day, we will have an overnight stay at a cool traditional Riad.

DAY 13: CHEFCHAOUEN – OUEZZANE – RABAT – CASABLANCA

Right after we enjoy breakfast we will to Rabat the capital of Morocco, driving through Ouazzane. We will explore the landmarks of the capital such as Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V along with the Kasbah of Oudaya. Then, we will leave Rabat and head back to Casablanca.
